When the ball moved to the next Netherlands player, Brozovic closes to the player who is just about to take the ball. Croatia can’t use their numerical advantage effectively in the area. They have numerical advantage with 4 vs 2 but they are unnecessarily intense. Netherlands’ left winger Simon is taking the ball now and midfielder Wieffer is making a run to Brozovic’s behind. Modric can’t shift to cover Wieffer now because he was not close enough to Brozovic.
